DVSC Coaches Visit Dartes

Doncaster Dartes

National & Regional Squad were visited this morning by a cohort of Dearne Valley Swimming Club coaches. On the back of a few visits to Dearne by Head Coach Jordan where there were a number of athletes to take a look at (which is always great to hear), both he and DVSC Head Coach Chris Goddard agreed it would be good for their coaches to visit a Dartes session, with Chris wanting to display the differences in intensity between Dartes and Local Club Swimming.

So Saturday morning was a great opportunity to see how the two squads at the top of Doncaster's performance pathway operate. There were a variety of strokes and skills on show, but even without that, it's good to build up those relationships with our partner clubs and see how we might be able to help each other develop.

From Dartes' perspective it's also good to be able to show what we need from the swimmers sent over to us and hopefully the coaching team from DVSC went home with plenty of food for thought for their future sessions.

All in all it was a worthwhile exercise and something we would welcome with all clubs.
