Leg Day Legends!

This evening, amidset the relentless National Qualifying Window and tough training, Jessica Hubery demolished the old new standard and became the first to hit that sub 6min mark that we've been pointing at for some time. Chasing hard behind her was Phoebe Weatherill (also not far off the sub 6min mark), and Kiera Binns. Notable performances also go to Freya Cooper and Ruby Wakelin, consistently staying below that 7min barrier, a huge improvement from previous iterations and Adam Robinson, making huge strides from his previous performance.

So, the first under the 6mins average. And everyone comfortably inside the 10min cut-off too.

Even at the bottom end of the table we saw some very gutsy performances. Kicking for many is tough. When it clicks it can feel powerful and easy. When it doesn't click it can be the most painfully frustrating experience in the pool. Many of those starting in National Squad are quite weak and it takes a long time to develop a strong kick, but those who stick at it usually get pretty good.

Two examples of that can be found at 4th and 5th this time round. Freya Cooper and Ruby Wakelin both started out at the wrong end 7 and 8 mins 12 months ago, now both are under 7min consistently.
