YSA Winter Competition - Meet Results & Report

DARTES' older swimmers (13 yrs+) got back to county competition this weekend at the John Charles Centre.

The short course winter meet is always a busy one and comes at a time in the season when most swimmers are busy building their aerobic capacity on the back of a summer away from the pool, rather than really dialling into any kind of speed work. As such it is often a task for the coaching staff to manage swimmers’ expectations of slicing huge chunks of their PB’s – but that’s not to say there weren’t any.

The clubs top performer over the weekend was Jenson Owen who came away with 9 medals in total, 3 golds, 3 silvers and 3 bronze medals missing out only on both Breaststroke events.  A full list of medals and finalists (top 10) are shown below together with the PB report attached at the bottom of the page.
