Swim Along A Santa Meet Report

Doncaster Dartes

Sunday 4th December saw 24 of our young athletes head over to Leeds to take part in our Swim Along Santa Meet.

Our swimmers competed in a total of 134 swims with 17 new times, 67 personal bests, 20 speeding tickets and 64 medal positions!

We saw some amazing swims with some HUGE PB’s and we can’t express just how proud we are of our swimmers and the impeccable behaviour and grit they displayed throughout the day.

As well as our seasoned athletes we also had a number of new athletes competing in their first ever meet which we all know can be incredibly scary but they took it in their stride and smashed out some fantastic times.

Congratulations to Kippax ASC for taking the Top Club position with 529 points with Doncaster Dartes in 2nd place with 404 points, followed closely by Armthorpe in 3rd place with 381 points.

We’d like to give a special mention to Alexander Eggitt who took the 11yrs Top Boy award and Amelia Clark who smashed a very impressive 22.89 second PB on her 200m IM.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help this meet run as smoothly as possible, we really couldn’t run these events for our athletes without everyone pitching in.

Finally we’d like to thank Team Burton for getting the whole family involved to make this happen! You really do go above and beyond and we can’t thank you enough!
