Scarborough Winter Open Meet Report
What a weekend over at Scarborough for our DARTES team end of cycle meet!
Over the weekend, 17 of our athletes competed in 134 swims achieving 24 New Times, 67 PB'S, 77 Medal positions and 6 Speeding Medals!
Friday night saw 11 of our swimmers take part in the 800/1500 Freestyle with it being a first time over this distamnce for 8 of our swimmers.
A special mention to Jessica Eggit for her 1500, coming in at a very impressive 19:14:14!
Saturday & Sunday saw all the other events for the weekend with Doncaster Dartes giving it everything they had.
The atmosphere over at Scarborough was fantastic with games, jokes, dancing & prizes during the intervals which certainly kept the swimmers in high spirits.
Although there was some illness through the team they stuck to it and that showed in the results.
A massive well done to every single one of you!
As always, you did us proud!
A huge thank you also goes out to all the team managers for your help over the weekend, keeping the kids hyped up and ensuring that everyone was where they needed to be. We couldnt do it without you.
