CITI PARA SWIMMING WORLD SERIES INC. BRITISH PARA-SWIMMING 2023 MEET REPORT

Last week saw Lucas Lee (S14) competing in the Citi Para Swimming World Series inc. British Para-Swimming 2023 Meet.


Placings at the event were by points with results published on a multi-classification basis in each category. 


Lucas competed in the Men’s MC 100m Freestyle, 100m Backstroke, 100m Breaststroke and 200m Freestyle and achieved a full house of PB’s in all 4 events.


Thursday’s session was the 100m Freestyle with Lucas entered at 1.08.66 and coming home in 1.08.03


The 2nd and 3rd events took place on Friday which began with 100m Backstroke seeing Lucas entered at 1.19.86 and swimming a 1.17.84. The 3rd event was the 100m Breaststroke, entered at 1.38.92 but racing home in 1.36.96

The last event took place on Saturday and saw Lucas compete in his focus event the 200m Freestyle. He left the blocks displaying fantastic underwaters and holding a good consistent pace for the first 150m, with nice tight turns throughout. From the final turn Lucas ramped it up with a fantastic finish. Achieving a massive PB from 2.35.20 down to 2.27.92!  This earnt Lucas a place in the Mens MC GBR final where he finished in brilliant10th place.
