Coach Harry selected as North East Skills Coach

The Regional Squad forms part of the Swim England national swimming talent pathway and will provide an opportunity for swimmers to develop their technical, tactical and physical open water skills with swimmers of a similar age and ability from across the North East. Swim England introduced this last year to a number of distance specialists who had never competed in open water events before. One of those new participants went on to win gold in the National 5Km event last summer, and they are hoping to build on that success by delivering a preparatory camp once again this year.

There is 28 swimmers registered to attend the event which will take place at Manvers Lake in Wath-Upon-Dearne. The day will involve skills training in the water followed by a classroom session with a 1.5k-2k race to finish.
